Gobindo Bhog is a small grained white scented rice from West Bengal. It has a sweet, buttery flavour with a wonderful mouthfeel. Slightly sticky when cooked, it is used to make many Bengali dishes. It is a key ingredient used for preparing offerings to Govindaji or Lord Krishna and cooked especially on auspicious days. We have used Gobindo Bhog to make sweets, kheer and even risotto. Because the rice sticks together, the consistency of the dish prepared is excellent. A definite must-try rice. Once you use it, you will love it
